Who We Serve
In 2018, Child Safe of Central Missouri served 411 children who were victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, exploitation, or witnessed domestic violence, homicide, or other crimes.
We are a safe, child-friendly, neutral place where children and teens are interviewed about allegations of sexual or physical abuse, or about witnessing a violent crime. Child Safe provides support to children and families that are referred to Child Safe by law enforcement or Children's Division (child protective services) after a report of abuse. These services are available to cover over 60,000 children under the age of 18 in our 11-county service area.
